We've all had students who push limits, struggle to manage their feelings, or constantly demand attention. This session provides a variety of tools and strategies for proactive responses, misbehavior prevention, and modeling desired behaviors.

When educators can mindfully recognize their emotional responses, they can respond appropriately to those around them, including children, colleagues, and families/caregivers. In addition, the
practice of mindfulness is a form of self-care that provides a strategy for educators to help them be their best emotionally, physically, and socially. This workshop will discuss the value of embracing practices of mindfulness and provide strategies for implementing mindfulness into everyday life and the learning environment.

Outcomes: As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:
• identify why the practice of mindfulness is important.
• implement resources and strategies that will promote mindfulness.

In any setting, cues and visuals are essential in enhancing the learning experience for adults and children. These powerful tools go beyond verbal instructions and wirtten content, offering multi-sensory approaches that aid learning and engagement. This training session reviews the importance of setting up and effectively using their own cues and visuals to facilitate the constant practice of watch-listen-engage and repeat cycles of support necessary for effective interactions. Through practical ideas and activities, this session presents the use of concrete visual cues to grow constructive teaching skills by applying the CLASS concepts learned and integrating them as a part of the daily routines.

During this session, we examine the research on benefits and advantages of raising bilingual children. We will focus on findings and statistics as well as lived experiences. We will talk about ways to support our bilingual children and things we can implement in the classroom. Educators will be encouraged to inlclude different activities in their classroom to provide a language rich environment that embraces culture and diversity.
