Suspension of California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) SB172
SB 172, signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown on October 7, 2015, states that students who completed grade 12 in the 2003–04 school year or later are no longer required to meet the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) requirement to receive a high school diploma. A person who previously failed to receive a high school diploma or was denied graduation solely because of the CAHSEE requirement may complete the online application to determine eligibility for a diploma.
