STEM Games success!

More than 85 middle school students from across Madera County participated in the first-ever STEM Games hosted by the Madera County Superintendent of Schools and the Madera County Schools Foundation at Madera Community College.

Ten teams from five schools competed in four STEM challenges, including Code Busters, Formula Race, Machine Masters, and Surge Showdown. Students worked together to solve ciphers, answer math and science questions, design rube goldberg machines, and launch tennis balls out of catapults designed by students.

“This first-ever STEM Games brought incredible energy to our county,” said Madera County Superintendent of Schools Tricia Protzman. “It was inspiring to see students compete, collaborate, and celebrate STEM through creativity and problem-solving.”

Participating schools included James Madison Elementay, Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School, Mountain Home School Charter, Ranchos Middle School and Sherman Thomas STEM Academy.
