    Hello Pioneer Technical Center Community!

    Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! My name is Alan Macedo and I am very excited to be your new Principal here at PTC - “Home of the Mighty Mustangs!” As your Principal, I look forward to our educational and family partnership, as well as an open, honest and clear communication line with our community members. To assist in making sure our students are successful in a safe and productive school environment, we require that your child arrive to school on time, be in dress code, and be prepared and ready to participate and learn. In addition, in order for you to create an extension from school to home, we highly recommend and encourage your child to come to school with a positive and proactive “CAN DO” attitude! Finally, please discuss with your child’s teacher and counselor the importance and details of the Independent Studies Program, Blended Model Program, Career and Technical Education courses or the Credit Recovery Pathway, to ultimately achieve their goal of being Career Ready after their 9-12 PTC journey!

    Parent input and involvement are also highly encouraged to make your child’s PTC experience more positive and valuable. Our supportive staff here at PTC, has combined with the Madera County Superintendent of Schools Vision and Mission of “Enhancing life through education!” The more time your student invests in their goals, the more they’ll benefit from this educational experience in our productive and positive learning environment.

    PTC MUSTANGS:

    M = Masters of career and college readiness!

    U = Understanding their roles as global citizens!

    S = Skills based learners!

    T = Task oriented achievers!

    A = Active and responsible!

    N = Never give up!

    G = Goal oriented!

    S = Super motivated!

    In closing, we believe that academic, social and civic success is enhanced when parents and educators work collaboratively with the common goal of success for your children. We are here to serve you, your children and the community of the Madera County Superintendent of Schools and ensure that all of our students are prepared for the challenges that await them in their future. Please feel free to call our office at 559-664-1600, if you have any further questions. With that, we look forward to a great year here at Pioneer Technical Center – GO Mustangs!!!!

    Sincerely,

    Alan Macedo Principal
